Whether you serve cocktails by the piano, Pimms on the lawn or Tea and cake in the barn. Cocktail hour is one of the few times your wedding guests are encouraged to socialise with each other away from the structure of more formal events in the day. Music can help set the tone of your party whilst you are away having photographs taken. Smooth Jazz can encourage a light foot tap beneath polite conversation for instance, where as party hits can quickly have your friends and family bouncing and singing along.
Your choice of entertainment can really help to set the mood of your wedding, and the choice is practically limitless. Do you want a string quartet? A Pianonist? Barber shop Choir? I am guessing by the fact you have come to visit my website that you consider a singer/guitarist to fit the mood of your day. And i don't blame you. We are great.
My standard "Cocktail Hour" package is for 2 hours. This is split in to two 45 minute sets, with a 30 minute break in between. I can however play for longer if required, with extra 45 minute sets being charged at £100.
Playlist
I do not encourage my clients to draw up a structured playlist, as I find it much better to read the room and give your guests more of what they are enjoying. However I am happy for you to read through my back catalogue and highlight any songs you would want to hear at your wedding.
Its also great to hear your ideas on mood and vibe. Do you want me to keep the tunes chill or get the party started early?
Jukebox
My jukebox service allows your guests to request songs from a predetermined list. I would be happy to discuss this with you.
Roaming
"That Wedding Singer Guy" is best known as "That wedding singer guy that roams about the party, singing to individuals or small groups." But it's not all about the roaming!!! If you believe your guests would prefer not to have an entertainer moving amongst them, or you feel this doesn't fit your vision you have for your day, I can of course set up as a traditional wedding singer.
Those of you that want to add something a little different, a few words on logistics. Although fully mobile as a performer, I am limited to one room or outside spac. The space that my PA system is set up. I have worked at most of the wedding venues in Aberdeen and surrounding areas and would be happy to advise as where best to set this up.
With my rig designed to be lightweight and with the abilty to run without mains power, I can play anywhere you can tie the knot!!
All you have to decide is what vibe you feel will fit your ceremony.
My ceremony package is based on 4 songs.
Instrumental
You may choose to have these songs all instrumental, or with vocals. You can even choose a mixture of the two. With instrumental songs as you arrive, and vocals during the signing and exit. This package is completely cusomisable. Get in touch to dixcuss your needs.
Custom Requests
It is very natrual that you want to make your big entrance to a song that is "Your song" of a track that means something to you both. There is no extra charge for learning requests for this service. (Although songs will be arranged to suit a solo guitarist, And my range as a singer!) I will always be completely honest if I believe I will not be able to play or sing a song well.
Please let me know more about your wedding and how i can be part of it. I would be happy to meet and discuss your day.
